The NSR Kanga Cup Organising Committee (KCOC) would like to announce that games will be progressing for Wednesday 6th July.
After a very challenging Tuesday which saw a number of key fields deemed un-playable, the KCOC have been working late into the evening to work out a plan that ENSURE everybody gets to play in games tomorrow.
A number of fields have now been taken offline (Southwell Park, Mawson, Dickson) however we have been able to configure a number of back up venues to ensure Wednesday mornings scheduled games for all teams go ahead. All be it with revised formats and venues.

“This has been one of the most challenging days in the 26 year history of the Kanga Cup. After a June month that saw the largest monthly rainfall recording since 1956, we have done our best to prepare for any weather eventuality, however with such a huge amount of rainfall in the month preceding the tournament water tables are already full, leaving little room for drainage. We have worked closely with clubs and venues leading up to the tournament to ensure we could have the fields in best possible condition, however in this case mother nature has worked against us. We want to ensure Football is still getting played, as that is what we are here for first and foremost, however we need to ensure we do so while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all our competitors “Michael Kelly, Tournament Director.
