A brand new website will provide a hub for all things NSR Kanga Cup this year and will become a one-stop shop for all your NSR Kanga Cup enquiries!
NSR Kanga Cup has partnered with Rowdy Digital to provide the new platform which will enable users to experience the competition like never before. A faster, more appealing user interface will allow visitors to access all the key information regarding the Southern Hemisphere’s largest youth football competition on a daily basis.
“We were aiming for a user centered site which focused on delivering the key pieces of information to website users at the appropriate time,” Jess Salvage, Director of Rowdy Digital said. “The new website is mobile responsive, and has a completely customisable interface which changes at varying times of the year depending on the stage of the cup itself. We wanted to create a fun and informative site, which represents the quality and community spirit of the event itself.”
The current iteration of the site is fully focused on the registration process as teams sign up for what is likely to be the biggest ever NSR Kanga Cup event. But there is plenty more to come in the forthcoming months as Salvage confirmed.
“Over the next couple of months we will be rolling out additional functionality, which includes integration with Google Maps, to help all players, coaches and volunteers find and navigate to venues and fields via mobile devices,” she said. “This functionality will also extend to the accommodation and attractions components of the site, which will assist interstate or international teams in planning their entire trip to Canberra and find great ways to fill in their spare time between games.” It is expected the google map functions will be fully operational mid April.
“Lastly, once the Cup has kicked off for the year, the site will become the central hub for all involved to find fixtures, results, venues and photographs of the events. Integration with our social media spaces, will allow all involved in the cup to share their own experiences, and photos (via Instagram) and become part of the Kanga Cup story for 2016.”
The partnership between NSR Kanga Cup and Rowdy Digital aligns with the digital provider’s “same, same but different” approach that believes that community associations should be able to access digital technology easily and cost effectively and is one that NSR Kanga Cup is proud of.
“We are delighted to welcome Rowdy Digital to the NSR Kanga Cup family and look forward to working with them in the long-term,” Tournament Director Michael Kelly commented. “Our website is a vital part of our planning and promotions and is often the first point of contact for teams entering the competition. As such we needed a fresh, original approach and we believe that Rowdy Digital have provided that.”
