CLUB IN FOCUS: BOSS FOOTBALL ACADEMY

July 14, 2025

‘At Boss Football Academy, we’re not here to take part — we’re here to take over. We might be new, but our mission is clear: to shake up the football world and build future stars ready to dominate the top leagues.’ That’s the bold mission statement of the newcomers to the Kanga Cup for 2026.

Bojan Pavlovic is the Head Coach and Founder of Boss Football Academy and its clear he is enthusiastic about developing future football stars, dedicated to pushing players to reach their highest potential and making a real impact in the world of football.

“We’re on a mission to transform players into fearless, explosive talents — sharper one versus one, faster on the pitch, and unstoppable dribblers,” Pavlovic commented.

“That’s why we’ve teamed up with Regate Dribbling and Takuya from Japan, masters of elite dribbling skills, and Coach Tee, a top-tier speed and agility coach pushing athletes to their limits. We’re here to create confident, dynamic footballers who don’t just play the game — they change it.”

Whilst Boos Football Academy are set for their debut at the 2025 Kanga Cup, the team are confident they will be returning with the Southern hemisphere’s largest Youth Football Tournament offering them the perfect stage to test themselves, build confidence, and take another step toward their football dreams.

“We see this tournament as an incredible opportunity for our players to grow, compete at a high level, and experience what it’s like to be away from home like true footballers,” Pavlovic revealed. “We’re already looking forward to coming back stronger next year.

“We entered the Kanga Cup because it’s an incredible experience for our players. It’s not just about competition — it’s about helping them grow. We want our kids to feel what it’s like to be away from home, just like professional footballers, learning to adapt, stay focused, and perform under pressure.”

Like every other team that has entered the competition this year, and in the past editions, the Boss Football Academy can’t wait to meet other teams from around the country, and to experience everything that the national capital has to offer.

“From the Kanga Cup, we’re hoping our players gain valuable experience competing at a high level, facing new challenges, and testing their skills against strong teams,” Pavlovic admitted. “ We want them to grow both on and off the pitch — learning resilience, teamwork, and what it takes to manage the pressures of being away from home, just like professional footballers.

“Most of all, we hope they come back more confident, inspired, and hungry to keep chasing their football dreams. While we’re in Canberra for the Kanga Cup, we’re planning activities beyond just football. We want our players to bond as a team, explore the city, and enjoy new experiences together.

“We’ll visit local sights, do team-building activities, and make sure the kids have fun while also learning how to stay focused and disciplined like real footballers on tour. It’s all part of helping them grow both as players and as people”

It’s a holistic view that resonates with the Academy’s approach to football, and developing players, where the Academy strive to make it not just about the game but about everything that surrounds what goes on off the pitch as well.

“The Kanga Cup is special because it’s one of the biggest youth football tournaments in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing together teams from all over Australia and the world,” Pavlovic said.

“It’s not just about winning — it’s about the experience. Players get to test themselves against different styles of football, make new friends, and feel what it’s like to compete on a big stage. For many kids, it’s a taste of what professional football life could be like. It’s an incredible opportunity to grow, both as footballers and as people.”
