CLUB IN FOCUS : BELLA VISTA FC

July 15, 2025

Competing in the Kanga Cup for the first time in their club’s history, Bella Vista FC make the trip to Canberra from Sydney.

Based in the Hills District, Bella Vista are a young club, only being established in 2022. The Bella Vista community is young and vibrant, and their club proudly reflects that spirit.

As Hills Football’s newest football club, Bella Vista has ambitious goals and aspirations of becoming a respected and recognized name in the local Hills Football community.

Their mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive soccer community where individuals can develop their skills, foster teamwork, and build meaningful connections.

They are a community-focused club that prioritizes both skill development and enjoyment for young players. Their teams are supported by a committed coaching staff and enthusiastic families, fostering a positive and inclusive football environment.

Coach of their Under-10 Open Plate team, Marshall Guo says that they were drawn to the tournament given its significance in the football world.

“We were drawn to the Kanga Cup as it is the largest youth football tournament in Australia. We’re excited to be part of such a significant and well-organized event,” said Guo.

Guo hopes that the players can enjoy the games, while taking on new challenges, and at the same time, have a fun and memorable week together.

“Our team is looking forward to exploring Canberra. There are many great attractions and activities for kids, and visiting the national museums is definitely on our must-do list.”

The three-tiered competition format, being Cup, Plate and Shield divisions, allows teams of different levels to compete in the tournament, bring them together for a week of fun, friendship, and football in Canberra.

“The Kanga Cup is special because it is hosted in the nation’s capital, bringing together teams from across the country. We really appreciate the three-tiered competition format, which allows teams of different levels to participate in a fair and enjoyable way,” said Guo.

“We are truly grateful to the Kanga Cup team for their hard work and thoughtful organisation.”
