Kanga Cup Venue Managers are an integral part of the tournament running smoothly, and during the week will be the first point of contact at each ground for many participants.
Primary tasks include:
Managing the Venue Assistant and Results Manager
Entering scores on Dribl
Key Point of contact for all venue/competition correspondence
Providing customer service and team leadership throughout the week
Liaising with KCOC as necessary
Set up/pack down Kanga Cup venue each day
Venue Managers (Honorarium Position)
Assist with venue logistics, ensure matches run on time, and support teams and officials.
Venue Assistant (Honorarium Position)
Assist with venue logistics, ensure matches run on time, and support teams and officials.
Venue Referee (Honorarium Position)
Primary ask includes:
Sale and distribution of merchandise at the tournament
As a Kanga Cup Event Program Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of the tournament, working closely with teams, clubs, and stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Tasks include:
Managing team communications and registrations
Assisting with scheduling, logistics, and on-the-ground operations
You’ll develop practical skills in event management, communications, and problem-solving, while gaining real insight into the sports industry.
With increasing involvement as the tournament approaches and full-time delivery during event week, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale international tournament and build valuable industry experience.
This role is the first point of contact for all Venue Referee Coordinators during Kanga Cup.
Primary tasks include:
Hosting the pre-tournament briefing
Main point of contact for Venue Referee Officers
Assign Referee Coaches to venues/referees
Tournament Referee Coordinator (Honorarium Position)
Kanga Cup Referee Officer is the main point of contact for all Match Officials and related inquiries at each venue.
Primary tasks include:
Allocate Match Officials into appointment panels based on their qualifications, experience and age.
Liaise with Referee Coaches to ensure match officials receive appropriate coaching
Assist match officials with match day administration before/after the match
Communicate the appointments and any appointment changes to Referees, Referee Coaches
Liaise with Match Officials and Tournament Referee Coordinator as necessary
Venue Referee Officer (Honorarium Position)

If that sounds like you, the Kanga Cup Videographer Internship could be the perfect opportunity.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious videographer to help capture the energy, emotion and moments that make Kanga Cup special, while also creating promotional content for future tournaments.
Kanga Cup 2026 runs from 13–17 July in Canberra, and successful applicants will need to be available throughout the week and able to travel between venues.
