The McDonald’s Kanga Cup is pleased to announce a partnership with PLAYR, the Smart Football Tracker designed by leading elite sports tech brand, Catapult Sports.
Designed for players wanting to train and play like a professional, PLAYR combines the latest GPS player tracking technology with personalised sports science to help take youth player development to the next level.
“We’re very excited to bring elite-level GPS tracking technology to youth players and coaches at the largest youth football tournament in the Southern hemisphere,” PLAYR CEO Benoit Simeray said.
“By partnering with the McDonald’s Kanga Cup, we can help empower the next generation of football stars with stats, insights and advice to improve their performances on and off the pitch.”
PLAYR will come onboard as a venue partner, securing the venue presenting rights of the Harrison playing fields in north Canberra, and McDonald’s Kanga Cup Tournament Director Megan Salic said the partnership was a coup for participants.
”We are very excited to have Catapult Sports and PLAYR onboard for the 2019 McDonald’s Kanga Cup,” Salic said.
“Catapult Sports are a brand at the frontier of sports technology, and their presence at the tournament will give participants the chance to see what systems like PLAYR can do.”
McDonald’s Kanga Cup participants will be able to trial PLAYR throughout the event, plus receive 20% off RRP with code ‘KANGACUP’ on www.playrsmartcoach.com
