The McDonald’s Kanga Cup is excited to announce today that one of Australia’s favourite brands, MILO, will join forces with the tournament as official Presenting Partner of the 2019 McDonald’s Kanga Cup Opening Ceremony.
MILO and sport go together like MILO and Milk, and that’s why MILO is proud to be a sponsor of the McDonald’s Kanga Cup 2019 Opening Ceremony.
MILO has partnered with Australian sporting leagues to bring valuable sporting programs to kids for more than 25 years. For those who need a nutritional boost, MILO gives active kids the nourishing energy they need to go about their day. With more protein, more iron, more calcium and low GI, a glass of MILO and milk will ensure kids play at their best.
To celebrate the partnership with the McDonald’s Kanga Cup, MILO roving ambassadors are giving out free MILO samples throughout the event.
The 2019 Opening Ceremony presented MILO will take place in the heart of Canberra at John Dunmore Lang Place on the shores of Lake Burley-Griffin, having been based at the AIS Athletics track and prior to that, Commonwealth Park.
“MILO is a name synonymous with children and sport in Australia, so it is exciting to have the brand on board for the 2019 McDonald’s Kanga Cup Opening Ceremony,” Tournament Direcor Megan Salic said.
“We are thrilled to announce that partnership today but also the new location for the Opening Ceremony presented by MILO, which will showcase some of the gorgeous sights of Canberra while being located in the heart of the city.
The 2019 Opening Ceremony will begin at 1pm, Sunday 7th July. McDonald’s Kanga Cup teams will need to arrive in the area by 12pm and there will be some showcase matches on the scenic fields below Old Parliament House kicking off at 2:30pm.
Opening Ceremony attendees are encouraged to bring camping chairs to ensure a seat throughout!
