Applications are now open for the 2018 Kanga Cup Referee Youth Academy.
The Kanga Cup Referee Team are now seeking applications from referees, not registered with Capital Football, aged 15 to 18 who would like to be considered for the 2018 Kanga Cup Referee Youth Academy (KCRYA).
The 2018 Kanga Cup will be held in Canberra from Monday 9th July 2018 to Friday 13th July 2018. Successful applicants along with selected referee coaches will stay at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) from Saturday 7th July through to Saturday 14th July.
Up to 50 international, interstate and local referees will be selected for the Academy and will receive intensive coaching and mentoring with a strong focus on developing referees in a tournament environment in the 15 to 18 age bracket. There is no better week in the year for young developing referees, male and female, serious about improving their skills and moving to the next level.
Selected applicants will referee each day (Monday to Friday), be involved in on field and class room style seminars with current and former FIFA Referees, be involved in learning opportunities during feedback sessions with referee coaches and make new friends in a supportive environment.
Further information and applications about the KCRYA can be made online here, with the first round of applications closing on 31 December 2018.
Capital Football Match Officials who would like to apply for the KCRYA should contact their referee coordinator.
The Kanga Cup is committed to supporting the continuing journey of refereeing excellence.
