The Kanga Cup is the largest youth football tournament in the Southern hemisphere, consisting of over 700 games in 5 days along with various other events and programs. The tournament as we know it simply could not happen without the time, effort and commitment of a fabulous team of volunteers!
There are a diverse range of roles including Venue Managers, Venue Assistants, Results Managers, Reporters & Media staff, Drivers and many more!
Being an Kanga Cup Volunteer is a great way to experience the fun, excitement and satisfaction of running a major sports event. You will make new friends and have a week you will never forget! Some of our volunteers are students who are looking to develop their skills in event management, sports management, media or tourism while some just love football and others are no longer working and enjoy the opportunity to give something back to the community.
As an Kanga Cup Volunteer you are an ambassador for Canberra and we want you to have an enjoyable and rewarding week with us.
All volunteers are provided with an Official Kanga Cup staff uniform. In addition we provide meals daily and invite you to enjoy a number of social events and a special Volunteers dinner at the conclusion of the tournament to acknowledge the fantastic contribution made by the team behind the teams.
